Glencal Technology Co., Ltd. is composed of professionals from diverse fields including finance, infrastructure, construction, national security, and quantum physics.
The company is a technology development firm focused on environmental and resource solutions, centered on its Redox Master Drying Technology, which applies principles of quantum physics.
Our technologies are being developed for applications in social infrastructure sectors such as water treatment, resource circulation, and energy. By closely integrating scientific research with business leadership, we aim to accelerate the real-world deployment of technologies that address critical challenges in water, energy, and data infrastructure.

Founder & CEO
Masahito NAKAISHI
Masahito Nakaishi is the founder and CEO of Glencal Technology Co., Ltd.
After graduating from the Faculty of Law at Sophia University with a major in International Legal Studies, he joined HSBC (Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation), where he worked as an interest rate derivatives trader before moving into private banking.
In 2002, he founded Glencal Co., Ltd., where he developed businesses including proprietary investment, IPO advisory, and M&A arrangements.
In 2013, he co-founded an environmental technology company in Australia with local partners. The company was ranked No.2 fastest-growing startup by Business Review Weekly (BRW) that same year.
Also in 2013, he established Glencal Technology Co., Ltd. to pursue advanced technology research and development. Since then, he has overseen the company’s overall management and technology development.
Although he originally studied international law, his work in pricing derivatives as a trader led him to develop a deep interest in financial engineering, mathematics, and physics. This intellectual curiosity ultimately became the foundation for Glencal Technology’s research in quantum and plasma technologies.
He continues to lead the company’s R&D efforts aimed at deploying technologies that address global challenges in water resources and energy.

Co-Founder & Director
Masumi MAENO-SATO
Masumi Maeno-Sato is the Co-Founder and Director of Glencal Technology Co., Ltd.
She graduated from the Department of Chinese Studies at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and began her career as an interest rate trader at The Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan (now SBI Shinsei Bank).
She later obtained a Master of Science in Global Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
While working as a trader at HSBC’s Tokyo branch, she met Masahito Nakaishi and Nobuo Kitasato, and in 2002 co-founded Glencal Co., Ltd.
At Glencal, she was responsible for international M&A advisory, investment activities, and consulting services related to environmental businesses, promoting the company’s international expansion.
In 2013, she co-founded Glencal Technology Co., Ltd. with Masahito Nakaishi and became a director.
She currently oversees corporate management, import-export operations, marketing, market analysis, and public relations, playing a central role in the company’s business strategy and communications.
Representative Director & Chairperson
Masakuni SASAKI
Masakuni Sasaki graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry at Nippon Veterinary and Life Science University (formerly Nippon Veterinary and Zootechnical College) in 1980 and joined the National Federation of Agricultural Cooperative Associations (JA Zen-Noh).
During his tenure, he worked in the research and development and materials divisions, engaging in product development and business planning while building extensive expertise and networks in the agricultural and food sectors.
He later became involved in new product development within the food industry and participated in the management of food-related companies, contributing to both business operations and product innovation.
In 2005, he founded a food-related company and served as its executive leader. Leveraging his expertise in agriculture, he has also served as an advisor to the National Federation of Agricultural Cooperative Associations.
He joined Glencal Technology Co., Ltd. in 2015 and served as a director from 2023. He currently serves as Representative Director & Chairperson, providing strategic advice on business development and partnerships.
Director
Masahide ITO
Masahide Ito graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Nagoya University and currently serves as Senior Managing Director and Head of Corporate Strategy at VT Holdings Co., Ltd.
After university, he joined Honda Cars Tokai and contributed to the company’s business expansion. He has played a central role in the group’s growth strategy, including its listing on the Nagoya Stock Exchange in 1998 and subsequent M&A initiatives and subsidiary listings.
In 2015, he helped achieve the company’s listing transfer to the Tokyo Stock Exchange First Section. He is currently engaged in expanding the group’s international business operations, particularly in Europe and Oceania.
Since the founding of Glencal Technology Co., Ltd., he has served as a director, supporting the company’s development from the perspectives of corporate management and business strategy.
Director
Ryuji MIYAZAKI
Ryuji Miyazaki graduated from the Department of Architecture at the College of Science and Technology, Nihon University, and is a First-Class Registered Architect.
He joined Tekken Corporation, where he spent many years engaged in architectural design, construction management, and project management. He served in leadership roles including Head of the Architecture Department at the Nagoya Branch and Head of Architectural Planning at the company’s Architecture Division.
He later moved to the Corporate Planning Division, where he led the planning and development of new businesses and formulated corporate strategy.
He currently serves as Executive Officer and Deputy Head of Corporate Planning (New Business Development) at Tekken Corporation.
As a representative director from Tekken Corporation, a shareholder of Glencal Technology, he contributes expertise in architecture and infrastructure to the company’s project development and strategic initiatives.
Special Advisor
Hideyo SUZUKI
Hideyo Suzuki graduated from the Department of Philosophy at Keio University.
He joined Tennant Far East (Cargill’s steel division) in 1975 and worked in international business, including assignments at the New York office.
At Cargill, he served in several senior roles including Vice President of the Steel Division and Account Executive in the Juice Division, gaining extensive experience in global food and commodity businesses.
In 1993 he became Vice President of Cargill Japan, and in 1998 he was appointed President and Representative Director of Cargill Japan. In the same year, he also became trustee of the bankrupt Toshoku Corporation, where he simultaneously served as president and led the company’s restructuring.
Through strategic withdrawal from unprofitable businesses and restructuring initiatives, he successfully restored the company to profitability within his first year.
He later served as Food Asia Platform Leader at Cargill, becoming the first Japanese executive to serve on the board of Cargill’s U.S. headquarters.
In 2007 he was reappointed President of Cargill Japan and continued expanding the company’s operations in Japan.
In 2008 he joined Sapporo Holdings Ltd. as Group Executive Officer and became President of Sapporo Beverage Co., Ltd., overseeing the beverage business.
In 2012 he became Chairman of Cargill Japan, serving until 2015.
He currently serves as Special Advisor to Glencal Technology Co., Ltd., providing guidance on global business and corporate strategy.

Special Advisor
Dr. Keizo KITAGAWA
Dr. Keizo Kitagawa serves as Special Advisor to Glencal Technology, providing guidance on the company’s business strategy from the perspectives of national security and international strategy.
He is a Professor at Keio University’s Faculty of Policy Management and Head/Chief Strategist of K2Connect International. He is also an Associate Fellow of the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) in the United Kingdom and a Senior Research Fellow at the Yokosuka Council on Asia-Pacific Studies (YCAPS).
His areas of expertise include maritime security and strategy, Japanese national security policy, defense policy, Japan-U.S. and Japan-U.K. relations, Indo-Pacific security, military operations, military technology, and military education.
He served 31 years in the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, retiring in December 2024 with the rank of Captain (1st Class). His final position was Director of the Defense Strategy Division at the JMSDF Command and Staff College.
As a commanding officer of surface fleet units, he served as Commanding Officer of the destroyer JS Matsuyuki (2010–2011) and as Commander of Escort Flotilla Two (2019–2021). He also served as Task Group Commander during RIMPAC 2020 and Pacific Vanguard 2020.
His career also includes teaching assignments at the JMSDF Officer Candidate School and multiple strategic and policy roles within the Maritime Staff Office, including serving as the first Director of the Naval Strategy Office.
He has extensive overseas experience. In 2002 he supported operations in the Indian Ocean and Arabian Gulf under Japan’s Anti-Terrorism Special Measures Law. From 2003–2004 he served at the UNDOF Headquarters in the Golan Heights. From 2009–2010 he was stationed in Djibouti, supporting anti-piracy operations in the Gulf of Aden and contributing to the establishment of Japan’s first overseas base since World War II. From 2013–2016 he served as Defense Attaché in London.
He holds a Ph.D. from Keio University Graduate School of Media and Governance and a Master’s degree in Security Studies from the National Defense Academy of Japan. In 1993 he graduated from the United States Naval Academy, becoming the first Japanese graduate since 1900.
Auditor
Takafumi EGURO
Takafumi Eguro graduated from the School of Commerce at Waseda University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
He began his career at a major auditing firm where he conducted financial audits primarily for manufacturing, retail, and IT companies. His work included statutory audits as well as IPO support, financial due diligence, and annual report preparation.
He later served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of a hardware startup, where he oversaw capital strategy, IPO preparation, financial reporting, and human resource management, leading initiatives to strengthen the company’s financial structure.
At a mid-tier audit firm, he worked across multiple industries including telecommunications, real estate, manufacturing, and services, and was involved in numerous advisory engagements related to M&A due diligence, corporate valuation, TOB, and MBO transactions.
In 2014 he established the Eguro CPA Office, where he currently provides accounting consulting, management advisory, IPO support, and M&A advisory services.
At Glencal Technology Co., Ltd., he serves as Auditor, overseeing corporate governance and financial integrity.
