Next-Generation Infrastructure Linking Water, Energy, and Data Centers Ranked 2nd Overall at the World CleanTech Startups Awards 2025 -Recognized by ACWA Power for implementation-ready clean infrastructure innovation.

Glencal Technology has been awarded Overall 2nd Place at the World CleanTech Startups Awards 2025 (ACWA Power Innovation Award), ranking among the top 12 finalists selected from 48 companies across 25 countries worldwide.

This award is organized by the CleanTech Business Club and supported by ACWA Power, one of the world’s largest developers and operators of water, power, and green hydrogen infrastructure — a multi-trillion-yen market-cap company delivering national-scale infrastructure projects across the globe.
The WCSA is not a technology showcase, but a highly rigorous international award that evaluates whether innovations are truly deployable, scalable, and commercially viable in the real world.
Our “Zero-OPEX Desalination and Resource Recovery Technology” was highly recognized for its innovative approach to utilizing low-grade waste heat from data centers, which are rapidly proliferating worldwide and discarding enormous amounts of low-temperature heat every day.

By fundamentally rethinking the long-standing assumption that “water must be boiled at 100°C to be separated,”and by using plasma- and ion-based molecular control to weaken hydrogen bonding between water molecules, our technology enables low-temperature, low-energy separation and removal of water.

This approach was evaluated as a next-generation infrastructure model that integrates:
Water Infrastructure × Energy Infrastructure × Data Centers
The award ceremony was held during ACWA Power Innovation Days in Riyadh from January 26 to 28, 2026, and was attended by our CEO, Masahito Nakaishi.

While we finished in second place, reaching this level of global recognition in our very first year of full-scale international expansion marks a truly significant milestone for us.
This achievement reflects not only our technology, but also the long-standing efforts of everyone who has supported Glencal Technology — our shareholders, engineers, partners, and all stakeholders. We express our deepest gratitude to all of you.

Plasma- and ion-based molecular control technology is still evolving, and our journey is far from over.
Guided by our belief that improving the environment through breakthrough technology contributes to peace and stability in the world, we will continue moving forward with humility and determination — for a more resilient future of water, energy, and food.
